looks similar to Mirage Liberty ( my current mask)

I think the tech is basically the same as the Mirage Liberty but with an an extended frame to cover the nose instead of the nasal prongs that the Liberty has. Will let you know when it arrives.

The greatest difference between this and any other mask I know of is the way the headgear does not attach to the mask but instead to a 'spider' (only four legs) which slips over the mask. This permits the mask to float/hover within the 'spider'. A deep cushion then makes for a very light seal and there is virtually no pressure anywhere.

As I've said, it is a fantastic mask!

        arrived already...

        ..and tried it on.

Looks very promising and the headgear is simpler and easier to adjust than the Liberty Mirage. Also the knuckle joint has double-swivel unlike the single swivel on the Liberty so I can eliminate the short tube which should cut down on condensation (rain-out) problems.

          Not a promising start

Lots of problems with leaks and its much noiser than the Liberty due to the gale that blows out of the front vent (the Liberty has 2 sets of vents ).
Also had to re-insert the short hose (12 inches or so) with the swivel connector because the weight of the Aussie heated tube causes problems. Might switch to a conventional tube to try.
However it is by far the most comfortable mask I've tried so I will persist.

            Nike, addidas, puma or reboc?

Swings and roundabouts, trying to think of some more, oh yes Whats good for the goose isnt good for the gander. Mask are like shoes, everyone needs something different, I was given a quattro and Ive stuck with it since day one, if it works why change it. I can clearly see the difference of the new FX but again I wont change from my own mask because I know mine is the best mask in the world, probably

              Hoselift!

I've got my new longer hose routed over the head of the bed, makes life a bit easier!

                hose lift

I've got a hose lift that I take on hols but don't need to use it at home because I've got a big brass bedstead which works just as well.

                  getting better

Managed to get a good couple of hours (or so) this afternoon having reverted to normal tubing. Still getting some leakage but hoping to get it sorted eventually.

                      Sorted and happy

Top tip with this mask is to give your face a good scrub before bed. Otherwise the mask doesn't grip and will ride up causing a leak at the top.
Once you've got it all adjusted properly and the technique for putting it on established then 'rave, rave, rave' isn't far wrong.

Must be one of the best full face masks on the market and I was pretty happy with the Liberty Mirage. 'full-face' is probably a misnomer; 'half-face' would be more accurate.

                        Glad you are sorted, Grumpy!

A clean, grease-free face is a must, I agree - as it is for all masks, surely? Getting the halo part of the headgear in the right place helps keep the mask from riding up, too.

Have you watched the videos? I found them very useful in getting accustomed to this innovative mask.

I bought a large headgear and am finding that it is made of a material that is not very elastic - it has stretched to a 2XL already and shows no sign of stopping. If the medium headgear the mask comes with is made of the same material, I figure it will stretch to become a Large - problem solved (assuming a stop point!).

Nice to know the headgear keeps everything together well - what's the venting like?
