With me, Im still shocked that Ive still got my mask on after 11 hours sleep. It seems now that nothing will get me to remove my mask at night when sleeping but the dreams are in HD 3D and may cause shouting. Even the other day I had ripped my hose of my mask, I still wore it while sleeping but the hose was a hissing snake

I have that too - but I had it before the mask too. I thought everyone always had lots of dreams but apparently it varies with and without masks. I guess with people the mask changes things for it is because you weren't having REM sleep before?

Always been fasinated with dreams and rem sleep, love been scared witless then try to fathom what it was all about, dont get me wrong I dont interpret dreams, just fasinated why I dreamt about the nights entertainment.

            What's a dream?

I vaguely remember having one once.

              Dreams

I had no dreams before using the CPAP that I can remember--but then my tests showed very little REM sleep. Now I have dreams all the time and wake up remembering them . All kinds of dreams. 3D--X-rated--silly--dramas--ghastly ghost--scary--and happy times. The happy dreams out number all the others. Last night I was young and getting married and wearing a fabulous Champagin Lace Gown in a huge wedding. LOL. I'm already married--don't really have any interest in threesomes. One lover is trouble enough for me! LOL. x Berneta

Well, as my post-Christmas cold started two nights ago and a crap night of coughing and spluttering followed I washed and sterilised the hose and tried the above.

So I added just a few small crystals of menthol to the humidifier and wow! that's a great way to clear your head. Slept fine last night.

Not sure if it should be recommended as the manufacturers may have something to say about it but it certainly works - I have a completely clear nose and head this morning.

I mainly have nightmares, such as stabbing my attacker in the eyes with pencils and him still coming at me so try ramming them up his nose and other such nasty things.
Give me a sexy romp any night!
Can I influence my dreams? If so, how?

I use olbas oil in the humidifier most nights, it helps keep the airways unblocked and allows me 7 hours sleep as opposed to 3. Cleaning the tank is fun but impossible.
I tried the oils etc beside the filter but found no benefit.

I wouldn't recommend using olbas in the humidifier......we were told at the SATA conference that olbas should be used only as a last resort and then only infrequently as it burns the lining of the nose...

                            Ouchhhhhhh!!!!

A warning to us guys on the forum

Its not the only thing it burns.

Make sure you wash your hands after applying the Oilbass

I learnt that the hard way after using the Oilbass and then going for a pee!!!!!!!!!

That's strange Acebass ...clinic nurse at Oxford where the SATA day is held suggested olbas or menthol crystal in the tank as it were ... not much but enough to open the airways for the first little while .. after that initial "burn" the CPAP does its stuff ... so perhaps the message is all things in moderation?

Olbas - oh no. But the Menthol is certainly very cool and soothing.
