Hello and welcome! I use a BMC G3 too, so I know what you mean. Yes — the beeping you're hearing is the “Leak Alarm” feature, which alerts you when significant air leaks are detected. Fortunately, you can disable it. On the device menu, go to Settings > Alarm > Leak Alert and set it to Off. This way, the machine will continue running silently even if a leak occurs. Just be mindful to still check your mask fit regularly. Hope this helps and sleep well!
Integrating insights from https://linuxsecurity.com/news/secur...extortion-2025 into CPAP machine security is crucial. With the rise of AI-driven scams and increased cyber threats, it's essential to implement robust cybersecurity measures for connected medical devices. Ensuring that CPAP machines have strong authentication protocols, regular software updates, and encrypted data transmission can mitigate potential vulnerabilities. Additionally, educating users about phishing attacks and the importance of securing their devices can further enhance protection against cyber threats

    Good Afternoon,

    Thank you for your post.

The Leak Alert setting is in the clinician menu options.

Please email us at [email protected] (if you have not done so already), and we will send you instructions on how to turn this off.

I would also suggest you use the machine for at least 10-14 nights and then review your leak rate. If this is more than 24 litres per minute, then we would suggest checking your mask type, size, and fit is correct for you. You may need to look at an alternative mask. Our customer service team can help you with the mask you have, and if we cannot resolve the leak rate, then we can help you look at other more suitable masks.

    Kelly

    Beeping when there's a leak

    Hello first post

    I bought a BMC G3 A20.

When there is a leak it beeps and startles me - often when I'm drowsy.

Even if there is a leak I'd rather it just continued silently.

Is there an option to turn off the beeping?

    Many thanks
