I agree Trisha but OSA would not reduce your ability to walk and if treated adequately shoukd not affect your daily life in a disabling way. Yes it can be a PITA wearing CPAP every night especially when away from home but if you are no longer sleepy / waking with a hangover / peeing all night what disability does it cause? Obviously if not treated then the sleepiness can be quite disabling.

My machine is telling porkies
Hi
I have major problems with walking because of the problems I have with my hips, lower back and my Fibromyalgia is also at the worse end of the scale. I have been in a wheelchair since July 2001 because it got too painful to walk and also it meant that I was only functioning for 1 day a week because of the pain and fatigue got so bad. My lower spine I have only four discs that haven't gone, also my upper back and shoulder aren't in great shape either. I am falling a part in my early 40's. I have had fibro for over 30 years it kicked in when i was around 10 years old but I had symptoms since a bad fall as a toddler as I fell down the stairs and hit my back on a car engine that was at the bottom of the stairs.

My machine is telling porkies
Hi
I got a call yesterday to say that my sleep test will be on 18th February. Its going to be fun trying to get to the hospital and then getting home as they wake you around 6:30am which will mean I have to wait around for a while before I can get the bus home as you cant use your pass before 9am.

My machine is telling porkies
Hi
I had my sleep study on 18 February, not sure how it went because I struggled to get to sleep as it was quite noisy in the unit. Someone had very noisy shoes that every time they walked in corridor also someone had a radio on. The air conditioning was noisy as well. I think that they might rerun it to see what is going on. So glad that I can use my machine again as I have missed using it. I am sleeping better again.
