My compliance has not been checked for nearly 2 years and I have to check this myself using Sleepyhead.
When I had a appointment for the consultant I took my machine with me but they REFUSED to check it as they said I needed a appointment.
I am getting fed up reading what service other people get when the service I get from my hospital is CRAP.
I do live in the real world, I'm sorry you are getting such a rubbish service and that your local service has evidently not signed up to the sleep apnoea service standards of practice. Would you mind PM me which service you attend. I have friends in the know who may be able to help. You should be getting the same good service that others tell you they get.

Just a thought, when your usage was wrong, is there a possibility that you have a massive leak in your system. If so it may show up as lack of usage because even though your CPAP is running it isn't achieving pressure. This may also cause an AHI of zero (which is unusual even for someone without osa) as your autoset wouldn't be able to detect the apnoeas. You should be able to see leak on the autoset. Worth a check.

Checking with Sleepyhead there was just a major leak when the hose fell off so looks like a perfect night other than that
I wish the same could be said for last night when the machine had three spells of running up to 15cm and dont my sinuses know it

I have had my machine changed and the 95% pressures are higher on this APAP compared to the old one but my AHI,s are much the same.
            Do the stats matter ??

Well its got to be higher than minus 12
Symptoms are more important than stats. The pressure will change depending on sleep position, type of sleep, whether or not you have had any alcohol or taken any medications that effect sleep or airway patency such as certain painkillers, antidepressants and antihistamines.
A lot of people are also quite sensitive to weight changes with pressure increasing or decreasing with weight gain or loss respectively. As long as the pressure isn't consistently going near the max of the machine (20 on standard APAP) and you are tolerating it I wouldn't worry.

No. I gave up chasing numbers a long time ago, it becomes obsessive

It looks like I have had a COPD exacerbation which has caused my APAP pressures to go really high. I spent over an hour with my pressure at max ouch!!!!
Two courses of antibiotics and 5 days of steriods has got my 95% pressure down to 15.8 last night. Getting there.

My chest infection has cleared up but Im still getting high pressures BUT only using the FX.
19.82 95% using the FX ouch!!!
                        14.18 95% using the Forma.
The Forma is always 4-5 cm lower than the FX.

                        WHY???

Probably because Formas tend to leak like mad in my experience. On the S9 you can set the mask type, this helps determine the expected leak profile. I would expect the Forma to have a significantly different leak profile to the QFX.

I agree about the leaks especially from the "non rebreathing valves" but I am beginning to understand whats happening with the FX.
It will be interesting to see how the Sleepweaver performs.

                              My machine is telling porkies

                              Hi
Since October my machine keeps swoping from Auto CPAP to Bi-Level and this happens on a regular basis. My unit wasnt that helpful when I tried to explain what was going on THEY said I was changing the setting but I am not. I seem to have lower pressures, AHI and RERA and Pressure Pulse it can be as much as 20% improvement in all of the stats that sleepihead records when it is on Bi-Level.

I am going to write them a letter in the New Year to explain that I am NOT changing the setting and print off all the information from October to the last date I have downloaded from the machine. The data from April to the end of September is rubbish.
                              Dee

I take it you have a respironics? Which model is it? If it is the new 60series then you can set a minimum and maximum pressure support. If you have zero pressure support it will effectively be an apap rather than bi-level. Do you notice the difference or is it just what you have seen on your download? Does it look the same on the clinic download? If it continues I would ask your clinic to swap out your machine. It sounds like a potential software fault (which the 50 series have had a lot of).
