teeth "whitening"

HI,
Been on my cpap since oct 2010, and have started to notice that my two front upper teeth are getting a "whiter" line form on them. Mum has been on her cpap since June 2010 and she has the same thing happening with her teeth. Whats going on? Are our teeth being damaged?

Why not you get the problem checked with a good dentist? According to the world survey there are a large number of people who rarely visit a dentist for their oral hygiene. So, I suggest it is better to consult a good dentist before the situation becomes unmanageable.

Teeth

Hi All--I suggest a dental visit once a year for cleaning. Teeth don't fall out because of old age--they get loose because of poor gum health which teeth cleaning can prevent. Don't know if using a Cpap makes a difference in teeth except to say that if your mouth drys out a lot- you are more likely to lose teeth because of the growth of bacteria. xx Berneta.

Not heard of teeth whintening, but have heard of the mask pushing on the teeth and gums causing occlusal change (affecting position of teeth).

This tooth movement is happening to me at the moment my dentist won't do anything about my front tooth gap which is getting bigger until they stop moving then being a NHS dentist which I still have to pay for informs me I may have to pay privately for a deep clean at £100 a shot.
