Eyesight

It appears that my eyesight has suddenly improved in both eyes. I know this sounds bonkers but my latest eyetest has confirmed this.
The astigmatism in both eyes has virtually gone.
How much has air leaks or more likely air blowing back from the exhaust ports of my mask caused this?
Im waiting to get checked out at a eye hospital and have had to spend out on new lenses which I only bought late last year grhhhh.

Thats like saying my lecks got longer, I too have stig which I didnt know until I went for contacts. Nothing supises me anymore with cpap, according to some internet sites "Rose Water" can cure it. Anyway congrats on getting rid of it

Its not good news when my sight has suddenly changed so much that I cant see to drive until I get replacement lenses.
AND its not good news that the prescription polaroids I bought a couple of months back are now useless.

Money wise I'd guess it aint good news, my mrs went to have her eye done and 3 pairs of glasses later she's now getting her other eye done (Cateracts) I guess that will be more glasses but its worth it

There is some confusing information on a US forum about eyes and CPAP but its no help.
I will have to wait till im seen at Moorfields before I find out whats caused the sudden change.

The clinic is not much help although I did manage to get a new mask.

This is the first time in 3 years of CPAP use that the clinic has provided me with a mask!!!!!!!! I have had to buy them myself in the past.

The advice about fitting was useless as well as the technician said that the Quattro FX mask had to fit on the top of my nose!!!

As I am in between sizes for the FX I have gone for a medium rather than my previous large so it hopefully fits better.

I went for a eye test yesterday and my astigmatism has come back to nearly the same level as last year.
This cant be just errors in measurement as I have noticed the changes.
Im now trying to find my old lenses

Well One of my friend had faced astigmatism for many years and after continuous consultation with eye specialist who suggested contact lens for life because he was hard to see properly because of fault in the shape of his eyes . He is still using lens for seeing .

Glad to know that you eyesight is improved well now you need to take care of it.
Avoid focusing on things especially on television or other screens.Do wear sun glasses.And use lens if you still get some problem.

I had a eye test yesterday and guess what my astigmatism has changed again.
Last time my right eye was cyl -0.25 axis 15.0 but now its -0.25 axis 130.0..
Its got to be connected to CPAP

It seems that certain people who have sleep apnea and diabetes are seeing some improvement in eye sight. There are trials going on now to see what is happening, see link below.

I have ordered a Oracle mask ,do you call it that, to hopefully resolve some other problems . It will be interesting to see if this also helps my eyesight problems.
If I am able to use the Oracle then I will give it a couple of weeks and get retested

Eye sight

Hi
I have noticed that my eye sight has changed for the worst since using the CPAP. I had my eye checked in March this year and again about a month ago and asigmatish has increased slightly but the rest of the prescription had changed for the worst. The only thing that did change for the better was my reading lens decreased from 175 to 150 which is okay but I have damaged the frame even thought I haven't used them yet. So I will need to buy some more as they wouldn't be able to be fixed. My eye sight chances every year so it is expensive to keep buying new ones every year.
