  • Why You Should Take It Seriously!

I think Im just as guilty as some for not taking O.S.A. serious. I came across a statement today from a news article and it read.

"Sleep doctors have a concern that primary care physicians don't understand the severe consequences of obstructive sleep apnea and the impact they have globally on a patient's health," said Raymond Perkins, MD, a board-certified physician in sleep medicine. "This is a fatal disease that causes other fatal problems and causes horrible morbidity and mortality."

I looked at this statement and still it seems way over the top. It's like the message on a pack of cigerettes, another warning that goes in one ear and out the other. I guess my personality trait is "Living dangerously" I know one day I will meet my maker and I wonder what it will read on the Cause of Death Certificate.......

Have a look at Dr Park's blog:

And other posts too. He treats OSA and knows a lot about it, blogs about it from all angles too. Always an interesting read, highly recommended. He clearly demonstrates the various dangers that come with sleep-disordered breathing.

In the blog it says there is a link between OSA and blood clots.
So that possibly means that the DVT I had was caused by OSA.!!!!!

Depending on what you read where, OSA can be put to blame on hundreds of things, and it often makes sense too. Perhaps it's difficult to prove in every case but anyhow, OSA really messes with your body, on many levels.

          Shocking for some!

I came across this picture which for some really say it all. Quite shocking really and very sad. For me osa is no big deal as Im more a fighter and the more osa pulls at my strings the more I'll fight back but for some........

The title of the picture is "I WISH I HAD CANCER"
