  • CPAP Air pressure

I have seen on the sigs of some peeps that what I believe is CPAP air pressure is 16+ I have a Fisher & Paykel Sleepstyle 604 and FlexiFit 431 mask which I have found very easy to get on with very quickly but when I first put it on (my air pressure which is set to 8.5 feels like a gale force wind) I found it difficult to breath out how do you guys and gals with 16+ manage to breath or am I missing something here

    Hiya,

Most newer (I think) machines have EPR which lessens the pressure a little when you breathe out. You also get used to it, they dont set you that high to start with.

Differs for different people. My APAP machine was going up to 15 which was blowing me up like a balloon and causing dizziness. Now adjusted my optimum pressure is 8 which works fine...

Mine starts at 7, ramps to 15 after 15 mins but sometime I dont think it is enough, other times it is ok.
Really easy to get used to so pressure is not a problem for me other than the first minute or so until the EPR kicks in.
