When I bought spares for a Mirage Ultra mask, along with an APAP and mask, in the US, I ordered cushion clips for a Mirage Ultra nasal mask instead of for the full face mask I'd bought.

I discovered this mistake yesterday and rang ResMed UK to order the correct parts. I told them the story and asked if there was any chance of swapping the clips, still in their Respironics packets, even though I'd purchased in the States.

The correct parts (16676) arrived in the mail this morning, along with a pre-paid return address sticker.

I'm greatly pleased by their service and want to appreciate them in the forum.

As you will see from other threads I have nothing but the highest admiration for the service I have received from ResMed.
Things ordered are correct and arrive promptly.
Questions are answered quickly whether by phone or e-mail.
Altogether 5 star service.

Thank you for pointing out my mistake and senior moment, James. It highlights for me the confusion I have around the methods of marketing CPAP parts in UK.

When I signed the Respironics' VAT declaration, I claimed the parts were for a Resmed M Series APAP. As I have heard nothing, I expect Respironics have perhaps not noticed the mistake or have perhaps just changed ResMed to Remstar and got on with life.

My problem is now as it was at the beginning - it's all CPAP to me and I can't get my head round not being able, in the UK, to buy what I need from one retailer offering the best prices, as I can in the US.

APAP = RemStar M Series = Respironics = CPAP-Europe
Mask = Mirage Ultra Full Face = Resmed = EU-PAP = Intus = James

Gottit!! Now all I have to do is remember where I wrote it down. Or not - and trust the helpfulness of the helpful people one deals with at these offices.

ResMed isn't sold online (or offline) anywhere by anyone, in the UK but by themselves. We'd love to have them on board but they feel they can handle it OK, as far as giving patients access to their products goes. So to correct you so you can write it down:

Your APAP = RemStar M Series = Respironics = CPAP-Europe

Give one or take one back?

Respironics have got themselves and me in a muddle! Sending me parts they deny having sent. Not sending parts they promised. They are very nice about it, mind.

Take a feather back?

Well, no! The seal between the chamber halves of an M Series Humidifier has long been outstanding. At the last chase up, the Ladies at Customer Services put me through to Technical Dept to get the correct part number. Why bother with just a seal? asks Tech Dept, Shall I send you a complete new chamber - they are for free at the moment, all new design.It duly arrived (with a delivery note for the Royal Cornwall Hospital but me on the package) and the top half is all new design and useless to me - but the bottom half with the seal is exactly the same as mine.

Here's the kicker. The enclosed pamphlet clearly shows (cartoons in case we can't read) that the seal is not to be removed from the chamber, never, ever. So it never has been available as a spare part!

But give them a feather for the freebie! with thanks.
