    Hi Tigers Fan
They sent me some swivel connecters off one of their masks to see if the width of the webbing slot was the same as the zzz mask. It would appear that they are near enough the same width but as they didn't send me an actual set of head gear I couldn't tell if their strap configuration would work. However they seem to think that it will so I think that I might go ahead and order a set of head gear from them and test it. There is the usual problem of course that once you open the packet they wont take it back, and it will be difficult to actually test for fit etc without opening the packet as none of their headgear have four straps at lower face level (they all seem to have two at chin level and two at forehead level) it is going to be a bit of a gamble so I am not 100% convinced.

I said SCUBA experience was an advantage with CPAP!

      Hi Les

As I was washing my mask straps this morning, it dawned on me that it's made of the same stuff - or exceedingly similar - as a wet suit! How about the Zzz mask headgear?

http://www.team-colours.co.uk/tracks...t-trousers.htm could be a place to start looking for the right material. Velcro is available all over. Know anyone with a good sewing machine and a strong needle?

Meantime, sounds like it's time to open the packet!

        Hi Tigers Fan
You are right it is very much like compressed neoprene. where did you get your in depth knowledge of wet suits from? How long have you been mad for narcosis?

          An inelegant sight

          Hey Les

Knowledge of wetsuits comes from fondly fondling them and wishing they were made in my size! Imagine a whale in a lycra one-piece and you're not far off what I would have looked like. Fortunately, I like only warm water diving on bright sunny days with u/w visibility measured in tens of meters. As my mate says, a complete whoose!

Little did I know, but I was stacking up good experience for using a CPAP mask to which I pretty much took like a duck to water.

Narcosis? I suspect the Heroes who jump into the water with half a dozen tanks suspended from their personages and say, "Pick me up on Wednesday" are after that.

          Do you dive?

            Hi Tigers Fan

Yes, I am one of the proverbial hairy a***d divers. Have been diving for a number of years but as I am now in my mid 60s I gave up the drysuit and all that extra hassle that goes with diving round the UK and like you I now just confine myself to water that is at least 25C with vis of at least 30m and no more than a 5mm wetsuit

An income for your Old Age

Well there you go, then, Les!

2 or 3 mm wetsuit sheet, you have a Zzz Mask strap as a template (albeit stretched a bit? lot? excessively?). Get your own mask sorted and then you could set up a new business as a sideline and live in the lap of luxury on the proceeds!

If you pre-register your interest (post here, PM, e-mail, ring) in certain bits and bobs, we can make a better informed decision on how much to get of each.

Along with these, later this month we will also have generic head gear which fits the likes of ResMed, Respironics etc. masks, most likely cheaper than the originals yet of the same or better quality.

Thanks to all of you who expressed a need for this, whatever it is in the future you need, let me know to see if we can get it for you at decent rates.

                  Feathers all round!

Congratulations Les and James and EU-PAP!!

I felt the world slip a little nearer to my orbit!

The downside, of course, is that you'll have to continue living in relative penury, Les. I was going to suggest hand-stitched versions; ones with pretty embroidery for the ladies and sports themes for the guys. How about CPAP headgear straps with your favourite team logo? On sale in the team shop!

We have at least one other Tigers Fan in the forum - but he is from Hull and a soccer fan.
