I've been using the FP nasal pillow mask since beginning of January.
It's a bit like wearing a hat with the hard plastic and metal "skull cap" but it allows me to sleep on my back or either side. This is particularly good as I can vary my sleeping position through the night without waking up with stiff muscles.
The nasal pillows fit well and I am getting a weekly leak rate of 0. My only problem is my left nostril has a rather tender patch where the skin is broken and doesn't get a chance to heal through the day. It is quite sore when the nasal pillow is in position but I have managed to persevere and still get a good night sleep. The sore has got a little bigger so tonight and over the weekend I am going to use my spare Resmed Ultra mirage 2 mask. I'm not too happy with this mask as it does leak alot more than the FP. This, I hope, will let my nose heal. If not, can anyone recommend anything to put on my nose to reduce the discomfort?
Thanks in advance
Andy
