hello sorry you are prob bored with this question... but i was given a resmed autoset machine yesterday from my sleep clinic which is 50 miles away from me. i have a mirage micro mask, which goes rund my forhead and over my nose...i was told to use it at home for a couple of hours in the afternoon before using it at night so i could get used to it.
I did but i was in my armchair so sat upright.. i was ok with it on and even managed a short nap. but come bedtime... i had four attempts to use it and had panic attacks and had to take it off.. i could only manage about a minute each time... i was ok wile sitting up but lying down wasnt confortable at all... i have soft pillows and have seen on here a sleepap pillow... do you think that would be a good option to try that before mentioning my problem to the sleep clinic. Also i have trouble sleeping on my back as i am a larger lady. i tend to sleep on my side or on my front which i could not do with the mask on, so i felt rather quastraphophic with the mask on... i think that was because i was worried my mouth would open, which it is most of the time im asleep.. do you have any suggestions?
