Got mine yesterday also - seems to leave more marks (but then I did sleep 11 hrs and on my side...) but the fit is so much better and less irritatting.

Will do a full and thorough report as always in a few days...

Thanks for reporting early successes. Do share the mid-term low-down as well please. And yes, an 11hr lie-in will get you marks on any mask!

New SleepWeavers will ship with the new headgear the moment old stock is depleted (maybe already, not sure, they do move fast as they are still very popular). We won't be doing them without HG.

New headgear is a great improvement!

I bought a Sleepweaver mask a few weeks ago and found the headgear to be far too small. It caused pressure on the ears or cut into them from underneath and there was practically no adjustment available. I rang Intus to ask if there was a bigger size headgear available as the mask itself was so much softer than the one I had been using AND I could wear my specs with the mask on to read! They very kindly sent me the new headgear and it is wonderful! Much bigger or at least big enough to allow me plenty of adjustment. I am still learning how to use the mask properly (have only been on CPAP for about a month) but am much happier with this mask now. It no longer leaves marks, (well maybe a few light ones that quickly go in the morning) and is sooo comfortable. I didn't realise I had such a big head!

          Exam result A*

Hi James....headgear received (thank you) and been used 4 nights so far. (I switch between it and a gel mask to give various facial parts a rest). Totally positive report. The design is a vast improvement on the original. The head straps are going well below the earlobes and the broader straps are far more comfortable, the difference in the forehead strap makes adjusting much easier. Biggest change is in the velcro bits, there is much more leeway to work with and most importantly the ends of the velcro are much easier to find in the event of adjustments needing to be done during the night. All in all it has changed the sleepweaver from the backup mask to the main one. Haven't tried washing it yet. I would dump any sets of the old headgear or return them to the manufacturers for partial credit as anyone that you sell them to are going to be p***ed off when they hear how much better the new product is.......Extra features, built in LED torch on the top velcro for easy reading, soft ear pads that have built in speakers to be connected to the world service for insomniacs and a small straw linking to a chilled pineapple juice container to get rid of the general taste of mornings (those are if a turbo version is on the cards...other juices are acceptable)....Again thanks, and pass on thanks to design team and manufacturers. Martin

            sleepweaver still rules

Sleepweaver plus new headgear was taken on hols. 16 days in a row and excellent report. The new strap arrangement still working well, earlobes non severed. Discovered 2 methods of reducing noise, used an empty humidifier with baby gail and used a nose clip (swimming type one) near the bridge of the nose bit to pinch the material. Would guess a small lightweight clothes peg would work too.
Trying to attach a pic of baby gail playing in the alpine flowers.
