The whole experience is so horrific, I put off going to bed. This Pro Mask looks as if it would allay a lot of my horrors.

As we've only just launched it here, and clinics tend to take 6-18 months to evaluate a new mask, as of yet there isn't one which stock the CPAP Pro.

But if you let us know your details and your clinic's details, we can specifically write to them and maybe persuade them to try one with you.

Thanks for your suggestions Tigers Fan. I was aware of keeping the mask loose and always start out that way. I don`t know how to explain the consistency of my skin - most peoples skin is dough like, but mine, due to illness and age, is more loose and jelly like. So you can imagine what happens when a mask is placed on a loose jelly! I only have to move the minutest fraction of an inch, the slightest twitch, nose, eye or mouth movement, and its leaking. It wakes me and of course I have to tighten it up. I will try again following your instructions exactly just in case I haven`t managed to get that hovercraft affect.

Its not just the leaking anyway - I also can`t bear anything touching the bridge of my nose - I feel as if I can`t get air in through my nose and then think I`m suffocating. I would like to give the CPAP Pro a try - do you know if its available on the NHS? I`m seeing my Sleep Scientist in November so can ask her but if I know for sure its not available on the NHS, I will have to buy one. This `being ill` is so costly !

James - I sent you a message over a week ago - is it possible for you to reply please.

Does anyone know if this would be any good for a mouth breather like me? Generally I can't breath through my nose whilst asleep, and I sleep with my mouth open too... Currently I have a face mask (obviously!) and like many, many, many others, am struggling with it...

Stu - No I don`t think it would as it is attached to the top teeth only so your lower jaw would still be free to fall open. Its meant only for nose breathers.

I think the manufacturers have missed an opportunity here - because it would have been easy enough to make the mouth device along the lines of a mandibular advancement device which would have kept the mouth shut.

              Thanks Patsy

Like you say - missed opportunity perhaps... Although my GF would say that anything that keeps my mouth shut would not be short of miraculous!

                Pulling teeth

Im not sure about you but this looks like one of the worse masks (Non mask) going. Looks more like a torture devise? How some people can sleep with these things is beyond me. I have stuck with my quattro from day one and wouldnt change it for anything.

Sparticus - `Torture device` ? If anything is a torture device to me, its having a piece of plastic pressed over my nose, cheeks and chin - it just makes me panic, sweat, have palpitations etc. I cannot bear anything touching the bridge of my nose. I do manage to get to sleep with a mask some nights but only if I consume a few glasses of wine.

Its strange what we put up with, these nose devices just look so alien, I guess its what your use to. Im on my third quattro and I dont have a problem with it, then again Ive not tried anything else but with the cost of things how can we unless at a SATAday or some cpap show.

Gotta admit I'm curious about this one but was hoping someone else will take the plunge first. It looks as though it works like a gum shield but do you have to do the boil and bite bit every night? Also is it going to gradually stretch the cartilage in my nose? I'm good with masks (my lil joyce gel and sleepweaver double act) but do find straps a pain in the butt (so to speak) so always looking for new gizmos.

Willing to be a guinea pig for 20% disc, I'll even take a pink/leopard skin print (got my eyes closed when I use it...heh heh)
