Yes - if it leaks it is at the bridge of the nose. It is small and light - but not perfect.Originally posted by Mentalfog View PostYeah, I'm having problems with it leaking too. It's at the bridge of the nose where the problem is. 2 jets of air shooting in you eyes sure wakes you up
lol
Only had it a month and a half too!

And you are definately fitting it with the recommended downward roll starting at the bridge of your nose? Wearing it too high on your face?

I've used the FX for about a month
I've been using the FX month now for about a month and it seems to be working very well. My old Forma mask started to leak on the bottom and no matter what I did I could get it to stop. The machine report a large leak with it. Now I'm down to 0 on the large leak report.
At times the FX does leak into the eyes a little but it's not too bad. This happens when I roll over (So don't roll over the wife says). The mask is easy to adjust when things get out-of-wack in the middle of the night.
Overall, it seems to be a good mask. It was tougher to get used to because it was smaller and caused a little claustrophobia at first. But I'm over that now however.

well tried it last night... and seemed quite good but needed to be quite tight on the straps to stop the leaks at high pressure, but that was to be expected...
It tended to leak from the top of the nose mainly... where the lower jaw couild be left looser than my other masks and still hold a seal...
All in all a good night sleep though... and i reckon with a few more nights to perfect the strap tightness to suit it will become my mask of choice..
Must say a big thanks to my technitian though,,,,, i doubt theres many that would send a new mask out in the post just due to the patient fancying a try... especially as they know my current mask fits fine and ive only had that about 2 months... and previously giving me around 5 or 6 masks previous to that untill i found 1 that fit me!! big thumbs up

I suspect, having tried silicone, gel and cloth nasal masks, it will be better at higher pressures.Originally posted by Chivalry View Postwell,,, my clinic just posted 1 of these out to me after i expressed an intrest the other day during a visit... i shall report how i get on
Im a little dubious how well it will cope with high pressure users like myself who are up around 19 ,,
From my collection, the masks that rely on the air pressure to make a seal work better at full pressure and can be quite insecure if ramp is active, the gel ones are the opposite and are better at lower pressures.

Liberty mask with Q-FX headgear
Think I may have found my favourite combo. The Q-FX headgear works brilliantly with the Liberty mask; much better than the over-complex headgear that the mask comes with.

Ask the clinic for a chin strap, that will keep your mouth in shape during the night.Originally posted by beartypes View Postif i am on my back then as soon as my jaw relaxes I hear the hissing of an escape, the same when i turn onto side unless I bury my head in the pillow to hold it firm.

Feel free to send us your REMstar data card one day to marry your oximeter timeline with the data read out timeline which includes apnoeas etc.Originally posted by Tigers Fan View PostThe APAP tells me everyhting I need to know about averages when I feel the need to swap machines for stats purposes, including AHIs. It does not give me a time line so I can not see when apnoeas occur.
