Can you tell me how to clean the mask please i have used milton solutuion the last day or so but its sticky now ,what can i use would bleach be any use on it or rubber cleaner.
I find a plain (non antibacterial) washing up liquid is the best...(personally I use fairy liquid and I find it does not degrade the rubber) but that's just personal choice and recommended by the sleep nurse at my clinic.
Just a few drops to a bathroom sink half full of warm to hot (not piping hot) water... Just rub the parts clean in the water/liquid and then rinse under running water, this should degrease them effectively, then leave to dry naturally on tissue or kitchen towel.
If there are times when you simply didn't have the time to clean the mask or are away for a night or two, then alcohol free wipes (simple or something like that) will do the job. I use the citrus ones from Intus, they leave the mask with a mild but pleasant scent and last for ages. The packet wipes are more convenient for travel and can be used to cleanse the face as well.
Hope these few tips come in useful...

For my original mask I was using just the liquid hand soap and warm water in the sink every morning. I milton'd it before storage as I'm using the sleepweaver now. Don't forget to clean the hose - I'm doing once a week with the hand soap and warm water, will disinfect it probably monthly.
I got some of the citrus cpap wipes too - handy if you forgot to wash it in the morning or wake up in the night to damp sweaty feeling mask.
Don't use milton on something that's not been washed well first, and if you milton your hose run the blower for a while to get rid of the smell.
The other don't is any kind of solvent / alcohol type stuff, it can attack the mask and the plastics.
Fully dismantle the mask and hose.
A quick rinse in warm water with Washing-up Liquid; making sure you get into all the nooks and crannies.
Follow up with the same but using sterilising fluid (supermaket home brand much cheaper than Milton).
Follow up with the same but just plain water.
Leave to air dry (shake occasionally to get the water out of the silicon seals).

For drying - I'll wash mine out in the morning and hang it over the shower curtain rail over the bath. Bathroom is warm and dry.
I use baby shampoo in warm water-- with a mild vinegar rinse--then a good rinse under running water. Our water is very hard and the vinegar keeps the mold and scale from forming on it. Once a week I soak it all in a stronger vinegar and shampoo in hot water for 1/2 hour then rinse well. So far it has worked well for me--- but once I had a pretty pink mold forming so I washed it well in a mild bleach solution and rinsed it well. Got rid of the pink--but it was pretty. x Berneta
