I've been using a nasal pillow head gear but it gets rubbed off and the alarm drives my hubby nuts! It also leaks and my chin strap is stretched out so i'm losing it alot during the night. I'm thinking about the mirage quattro, i measured my face and came up with small but was suggested I purchase a small medium, but really haven't seen that size - is that normal? Any help will be greatly appreciated! I absoluteley have to have a chin strap or i'm catching flies all night long. Thanks, Sher

Hi Sher, I can't use a chin strap successfully probably because I don't have much of a chin. But, I find my Respironics ComfortCurve mask excellent, been using it for 4 years now (not the same mask, I hasten to add). Perhaps you might like to look it up.
I find that it is difficult for me to open my mouth once I have everything in place and the air is coming through. Don't know how it works but I breathe through my mask and my mouth stays shut. Yes, occasionally the mask will slip but according to the nurse on my last (which was also my first) sleepover this is not uncommon. I will be interested in any comments about this.

NHS or prvate?
Hi sheriplarue
Maybe you are not an NHS patient? If you are - or could be - you can get masks frm them. Resmed do a mask fitting service -try them all, any size, how to fit them, etc.
The Quattro is a great all rounder, comes in three sizes. Maybe you were told you needed a small/medium - meaning either or?
At the end of the day, masks are a trial and error exploration. I have six different masks - two favourites and two I never use, two for when the others misbehave.
Chin straps are not a problem with a Quattro.
TFRespironics REMstar 'M' Series APAP.
