  • Blast of air on hubby's neck!

    Hi all,

When I sleep on my side and hubby has is back to me he gets wakened by the blast of cold air that comes out through the air holes in my full face mask. Then he wakens me to get me to turn over

I've tried pulling the quilt close, but obviously, during sleep, the quilt moves.

Has anyone else had this problem, and if so have you any recommendations for solving the problem?

    Any suggestions gratefully received!

    Tricia

That one is easy to solve. Get hubby to move his pillow down the bed a little, stay at the top with yours and the air blast will be higher than his head.

    Good luck

      Diffusion

      Hi Tricia

Try sticking a strip of Scotchbrite - green, for scrubbing pans - across the exhaust port that is blasting your man. In no way should you block the port, only diffuse the stream that issues from it.

This is a tried and tested remedy that also cures 'whooshing' noises - but not 'pooting'.

Thanks for that TF. I'd realised that I shouldn't block the holes, but wasn't sure about covering it in any way. I think I prefer this method than re-arranging pillows, which can be moved during sleep.

Pity it doesn't solve the 'pooting' problem too, lol.

Hhmm...gonna try the Scotchbrite idea. My wife is always complaining about the free air blasting she gets from my nasal pillows thingy.

            Beek

You could always use the tape and a small piece of card to make a beek that way the air is always going to blow down the way and you get to look even better

I find telling them to shut up, stop disturbing my sleep and move to another room if you're not happy, works wonders for me!

                Resourceful as always, ohcrob

Note that it also really depends on the mask. But if you like this mask, don't switch just for this issue. Great tips in this thread to try first.

Partner could also wear high-collared PJs perhaps!

                  Blast away!

Can't you just sleep with your back to your partner and blast away?

Actually one good thing about the Mirage Liberty mask is the vent holes on each side so you get a gentle flow of air rather than a directed blast.
                  Makes it quieter too.
