  • SleepCube AutoAdjust compared to M Series Auto

Ever wondered how to weigh up certain machine features? They all say they're quiet, but how quiet do real users think they are?

CPAP Talk, a big US based CPAP users commmunity, runs regular Product Challenges where they pitch new products against established ones to see how they perform according to real users.

They've just pitched the DeVilbiss SleepCube AutoAdjust (in the US marketed as the IntelliPAP AutoAdjust) against the more established Respironics Remstar M Series Auto with A-Flex in this challenge. The results are in line with what I keep hearing form people.

The SleepCube is more quiet, easier to operate and clean, looks nicer and travels easier (due to its handy bag). Only breathing comfort is won by the M Series unit, but only just, despite/because the SleepCube lacking active exhalation relief.

    UK Links:

    DeVilbiss SleepCube AutoAdjust
Respironics M Series Remstar Auto with A-Flex

    Ireland:

    DeVilbiss SleepCube AutoAdjust

I know there are a few SleepCube AutoAdjust and M Series Remstar Auto users here... What do you like and dislike most about your machine?

    James,

As a new Sleepcube user (Jan 2009) and not having experienced any other CPAP machines I have to say that I have not experienced any problems at all apart from mask leakage but everybody gets this. Machine is extremely quiet, I also bought the humidifier that goes with it but haven't used it yet, yes I do get a dry mouth but this is something you get used too and a quick swig of water does the trick when I wake up a couple of times per night. I bought the machine privately but am waiting for my follow up to get a CPAP from the local NHS Trust.....
