  • Good news for us Essex Folks

    Hi,
After email after email to Mid Essex trust to encourage/demand/beg for cpap provision locally rather than having to go to London the Mid Essex Trust have finally agreed provision with Basildon, Southend and Colchester Hospitals, all of which are closer and easier to get to than the London Hospital.
I have literally been writing and emailing the Trust for well over a year with no satisfaction, and it was only when James asked me about the Colchester Sleep Clinic that I wrote specifically mentioning the clinic that I got the following reply:

    Dear Mr Neal

    Regarding your query
I have contacted our commissioners and we had a business case from Mid Essex Hospitals but there were some problems with it. We gave feedback but have never had a revised case so this has not been progressed. There are services at Basildon, Southend and Colchester Hospitals - all of which we have contracts with - if any of these are more convenient for you than going to London, ask your GP to refer you.

    kind regards
    Cheryle Mack

So finally we have a local service- Great news, and thanks James for the flagging up the Colchester clinic.
    Best regards,

You just never know what kind of information you will find on here. I was quite surprised when I found out that Berneta sleeps with a 38 under her pillow next to her handcuffs

      Misinformed

Berneta sleeps with a "38" in her bedside drawer. Since we are an armed nation, and not all people are responsible. I live far from others out in the country on a busy road; I think its is a responsible thing to do. The house I live in was broken into when a very old helpless lady lived here prior to my family buying her farm. As it happens she was not harmed as she was not home that night. I have no fears that would cause me to sleep with a gun under my pillow. LOL. xBerneta

Let's not detract from the great news, thanks Tony for your efforts there as now many people in Essex can enjoy local sleep services.
