  • Faulty Readings (Robbed)

I feel robbed, now that Ive started to check my readings, Ive noticed that not all seems well. This morning after my nightshift I crawled into bed donned my mask checked the time which was 09.05 and slept through the day not waking once. I then woke to my machine thinking Im a balloon and wanted to inflate me. (Dont panic). Anyway I woke up at 4.45 (Yes 19 mins ago) . I needed to put this down before I forgot. In my estimations that a total of 7 hours and 40 minutes, so why does my machine tell me I slept for 5 hours and 31 minutes? I feeled robbed. Whats the point of having readings if there false.

According to Resmed it what you have done in a 24 hour period but I shall be writing back to them to see what is happening.

          Readings

Well I have been told by Resmed that after 12 noon all data for the previous 24 hours is cleared and can only be read via computer download. Ok I said to them but the readings are still wrong. From 12 noon today I slept till 4.05 pm yet my readings are saying I slept for 51 minutes. What is happening to me, am I going shopping in my sleep

Without attempting to sound like a condescending IT tech on the phone with a user who may know more than he sounds like he does...

Is the clock right on your machine?

                Sleep Time

Hi---the question that comes to my mind is how do you feel after sleeping? It is possible to walk in your sleep, or even get up and sit without being aware you are doing it. So--do you feel Ok? By all means check out the machine, to make sure the time is corrected-- if it is off. You could call your mains to see if your power was off or surging. You may need aa battery back up. x Berneta

I expect it must have one to be able to know when to end the "day" at midday.

I am having a similar issue I have a respirionics rem star as best I can work out. I slept five hours night before last and six hours last night but the machine is still reading 2.54 for seven and 3.06 for thirty am not sure if this is just an issue with the memory card, or something else. The machine seems to be working am just more than a tad confused and the hospital cant see me until a week Thursday.

How long does it take to work out a seven day average and a thirty day average?
