A question that Ive been meaning to ask is why didnt the peeps who design the machine, implement a pause button? When woken at night and having to leave your bed, the last thing I want to do is to start messing with my machine settings or having to go threw 20 mins of ramping again. Why cant I just hit a pause button go to the loo without fully waking jump back into bed unpause and be back asleep in seconds. Surely this is not a difficult thing to do instead the only way you can do this is by leaving the mask running and making a racket gushing air or turning it off and then having to start all over again

Mine has auto start and stop, so it detects the mask removal and turns off after a few seconds of hurricane.

Also when you restart it you can hit the start button to skip the ramp phase. I've set my ramp time at 5 mins now anyway...

But thats not a single button restart your still having to restart, I want one button to pause and then one button to continue, In an ideal world i would like a mask that stops and starts when it detects my mask is on and off, that way I dont need buttons when Im half-asleep

I don't need to press anything to restart but it restarts in ramp mode if I just put the mask back on and breathe in. The button press is to skip the ramp and go straight to therapy pressure.

You can always set your ramp time to 0. The ramp is good when you aren't used to the machine, but once you are accustomed, going to sleep on full pressure is no problem.

You can also keep the ramp, but have it start a little higher. So rather than from 4, which is you crawl back into bed may be a bit low, start ramp from 6 or 6, to your prescribed pressure of whatever it is.

How long does it take to get used to full pressure - if I go to bed and skip the ramp I feel like someone is sitting on my face! But if I wake up in the middle of the night I can go straight back on no problem, and waking in the morning I have to check the machine's running as it's as if it's not there (though trying to talk is a dead giveaway!)

In fact as it takes me a while to drop off I've upped the ramp time to 45 mins (!)

Thats very similar to me, I wake up and think, wheres ma mask so I try and whistle that usualy answers me. At the moment I beleive my machine is broken and hopefully will get it sorted this week

I couldn't agree more, the machine I have now if I hit the wrong button it can take ages to set it up again and I may even have to put on the light to see the display. The old machine I had I just had to hit stop, then it would sit waiting for me, on return all I had to do was hit the max pressure button and away it went. The new one controls the humidifier as well as a few other functions and pushing the wrong one is a real pain.
It shouldn't be hard for them to have a big button that is easy to find in the dark and pause the machine and keep the settings till you return
