    Diet Ahead

I've struggled with my weight for years, ever since giving up playing rugby. The lowest I've ever been in my adult life was 12 1/2 stone when in my early thirties but most of the time I've hovered around 16 stone. I gave up smoking about 3 years ago and now I find I'm nearly 20 stone, so it's diet or die!
When I was made redundant earlier this year I seriously thought about using my severance to pay for a gastric band but decided against it.
The diet started today so wish me luck!

Mince pies in September, I could not believe my eyes when I saw them in Tesco last week, I love them as well, this is not going to be easy.....

      Pete,
Why did you decide against gastric band?

        gastric band

In the end I felt it would be selfish of me. I had a limited amount of redundancy money and two kids going to university. I knew that getting another job at my age was going to be hard if not impossible so I could not justify the cost if there was a cheaper alternative ( dieting)

I sometimes regret the decision, but it's made now

          Pete,
Have you tried to get it on the NHS?
Please PM if you want to talk about it.

            Sinupulse

Ok TF and James, you were right, the Sinupulse works wonders. I was really skeptical about it, even after I tried the squeezy bottle I wasn't convinced the Sinupulse warranted the price, but it does.

It still seems bizarre to me, squirting salt water up the nostrils but the results are worth it. My only worry now is how much of my head is actually hollow and how the water finds the most embarrassing time to make it's bid for freedom

              Yippee!

              Well done, Pete!

With any luck, your 'delayed drainage' wll disappear same as mine after not too long at all. I'm glad you find it amusing, too - I got into some hilarious situations when my nose decided to issue forth!

Bizarre practice, I agree - but doesn't it just work!!!

Pete, you should know by know we only supply stuff that is the real McCoy. Glad to hear it has worked out as we knew all along it would!

You'd be surprised how much emty space there is (not an insult). When I have a salt water session, and I blow my nose gently to moderately, I then go to the bath and tip my head real low, as if you tried to put your head between your knees, but then over the bath. Tip it left and right and I usually get some left over saline water pouring out.

If you leave it in there, it'll come out anyway, just a bit slower and in smaller quantities.
