  • CPAP Tube Brush - Now Available in the UK

We were approached by yet another US based inventor of CPAP accessories about a hose cleaning brush. At first glance, it didn't look all that different from drainage cleaning brushes but as often with CPAP accessories (think RemZzzs, Hose Lift etc.) the devil is in the detail, and what seems like not much is actually cunningly effective. This brush has been made to measure for 22mm hoses that ship with most modern CPAP machines.

It's really "just a metal rod with bristles" but as it is the right length rod and bristles, it's perfect for making hose cleaning simple.

We sent a few samples to some power users who indeed confirmed that it was a useful tool, which doesn't take up much space when not in use. On the well known US sites, it's getting good reviews too.

I know some of you pull a towel through the hose with a string of rope. This brush is far easier and presumably more effective.

Anyway, have a look and see if it could play a role in your CPAP maintenance routine. Let us know if you have any questions about it.

    Brushes

The brushes sound just like the ones when beer making, they are white bristled brushes with long handles to clean the jars out. I think the best thing to use is a sterilizer, the same ones for doing babys bottles. Stick ya hose and mask in and flick a switch, jobs done but if its a real energy saving method your looking for just open your window and hang then oot in the rain

Indeed, there are similar products, but each designed for their own very specific job, and therefore proportioned accordingly.

By the way, you lot have done it again, buying up all our stock upon launch causing a short delay. A couple of you will have to suffer another few days without hi-tech hose cleaning! Sorry!

Just for the record - I got a quote for the manufacture of a one off brush specifically designed for CPAP hose cleaning. It would be significantly cheaper by the several dozen but one would cost £61 (sic).

          Respironics REMstar 'M' Series APAP.

£61.00 I suggest a trip to the shed with tools, a brush and some wire for the handle
