  • Sleeping ok

Hi everyone, I was concerned that I was sleeping too long (10 to 12 hours per night) so I sent my CPAP Memory Card in to be read-- and the CRT called me today. She said that my AHI was 0.5 which she considered very good-- and everything else looked about normal too. SO it was a very good reading. She suggested that my longer sleeping hours may be due to restlessness when I have a slight response when a Hickory Nut hits the roof at night, while I sleep. Causing slight arousal that I may not be aware of. And that would explain the random slight arousals she saw on my card. She suggested that if I felt uncomfortable sleeping that long-- to set my alarm at 8 or 9 hours-- and get up and see how I feel the next day. In the meantime she is sending all the results to my Dr and he can decide if he wants me to do blood tests to see if anything else might be going on, I do have Diabetes (Controled) and if that changed to too high, that could cause me to sleep longer. My glucose meter shows a normal A1c so I don't think that is my problem. So I am waiting to hear from my Dr. IN the meantime--I am very pleased that the CPAP is doing so well. She said the only thing she saw was a couple slight leaks that quickly stopped, and would not have been a problem. Must be the NUTS or someone stuck a pea under my mattress! To die for!

    Hi Bernreta

But not to , actuasllyu, with sleep like that. AHI 0.5 is so near 0 it may as well be.

Sounds to me like you need to invest in a framed wire mesh at a fairly steep angle underneath that hickory tree!

Here's hoping th alarm clock does the trick.
