It seems to depend on whether your dentist has much experience with them, whether your insurance covers them or whether the government covers them. There are also do-it-yourself moulding kits that start from like £100 or so, can't remember where I saw them. Not sure about their effectiveness but it could save a few quid.If you can read this...
...at least you seem to be getting enough sleep to stay awake and alert!

A nearby dental surgery (Aylesury)were advertising such a thing at £300. I tried strips over my nose (more useful than you might think), a spray for my throat (yeuck) but never considered this dental device.

I was refered to the Bristol Dental Hospital for one of these when I could not get on very well with CPAP, it fitted really well and was easy to get used to although it did not make a big enough difference to my Apneas, I was still getting over 25 per hour.
I did buy a non-fitted one (£50!) as a 'backup' and that was completly useless! You have to have one that is moulded to your teeth and is a 'snug fit.
Now I am back trying CPAP again!
