Anyone had success or other wise with this mouth thingy - sorry for the medical term!

Will be issued with CPAP tomorrow but trying to understand other options.

Also saw the Provent thread but assume this is only suitable for nose breathers?

Emailed Provent and they said we do not supply UK and it is only available via prescription in USA, will discuss at Papworth today as it seems very interesting and far less obtrusive than any CPAP. I wonder if a trip to the US and a private consultation would work?

Well tried, the SomnoGuard AP for half the night when at Papworth lst night, followed by half the night with CPAP. The monitor clearly showed CPAP had controlled the OSA but not the SomnoGuard so I have my answer. I hope it works for others though.

The Provent solution is entirely different and cannot try as not available in UK.
