    ...can you just buy the machine? Money is an issue and I dont have insurance. I'm also interested in anyone's experiences in using manual vs. automatic machines. Thanks!

    You can't get one without a prescription so this either requires a sleep study (could be a cheaper in-house test) or a generous doctor who is willing to blindly provide you with one.

      As far as the manual vs auto is concerned, if you don't foresee major lifestyle changes, a manual (cheaper) should do just fine. And even that one can be re-programmed when needed. If you are planning on dropping in weight/changing shape drastically the auto could help accomodate change as you get along.

      ...at least you seem to be getting enough sleep to stay awake and alert!

        If you are in the UK and have no money, you should be able to get one from the NHS, for free.
