Yes I do use insurance comparison sites - but the flexicover one did not come up. Not all sites are registered with the comparison sites - who charge for their services - so you are not always getting the best deal by using them.
Meanwhile thanks to LGadd for putting me onto this one.
Btw Tigersfan - one question mark is generally considered sufficient.
If only I could do as I like I wouldn't have spent so long trying to get a simple bit of computer coding to work with a remote re-writer. I cannot bend it to my will!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only make them work together so far - but not prcisely as I'd like.
You judge me erroneously, Dravidio - for I am not driven here by my ego, large or small as it may be, but by my delight in fly fishing. Again I have a problem though - can't seem to get byond the tiddlers and into the fish!!!!!!!!
Know what I mean????????????????????????

It always pays to shop around for insurance; and don't just accept renewal quotes which tend to be higher than they should be.
Always annoys me that insurance companies do more to attract new business than to retain existing customers; but must make business sense or they wouldn't (all) do it.
Recently renewed car insurance, quotes varied from £240 (Aviva) to over £900 (Direct Line) for the same cover. None of the comparison sites got close to the Aviva quote but we also managed to get them down to £216!
Also renewed house insurance and my wife managed to persuade Direct Line (the cheapest last year) to give us the new business discount again. Wanted to stay with them as we had a claim during the year and they were excellent to deal with.
For travel insurance its worth looking at the premium bank accounts offered by some banks which include it.
