    Hi Sarah,

    Welcome to the forums.

Three options I can think of.

Buy your own on a credit card and pay that off bit by bit (minimum monthly payment will be around £15).

Ring Respironics and ask about their MOST program. I believe it's around £35 a month.

Ring ResMed and ask about their monthly deal. Someone posted about it in the forums here and was quite upbeat about it.

      Hi Sarah
You can also sometimes pick up cheap CPAP machines second hand on the various OSA forums and through EBay, but be aware that if you get one this way it may need servicing and the input voltage could well not suit the UK, so you need to be very careful. James' suggestions are the best if you can afford it.

If your OSA was severe and it has an extreme debilitating impact on your life (such as loosing your job, potentially your house etc.) most hospitals can put you at the head of the queue but it often requires a certain degree of 'hammering'. You'll have to fight for your equipment.

Unless you kow your pressure, getting a second hand machine may not work out as cheap as you think. You'll also need a fitting mask to make it work.

I'd get in touch with the hospital and tell them how badly the tiredness is affecting you and that you need a machine asap.

Yes, exactly. An APAP find the pressure itself and apart from a diagnosis, requires no other tests or trials.
