DVLA are pretty good, once your consultant says you are compliant with the treatment your looking at a few weeks at most to get your license back. All you have to do then is inform your Taxi Licensing office.

Oh and welcome to the forum.

      Welcome to the club!

The DVLA aren't new to this anymore so luckily, they tend to process re-applications quite fast.

But until you've been diagnosed, you don't know for sure yet you have a disabling condition. Of course, if you feel unfit to drive, you shouldn't, but at this stage it sounds like you aren't required yet to hand in your license.

Make sure you get friendly with your prescribing phycisian so they will a) make sure you get treated properly fast and b) do a good word for you promptly with the DVLA.
