  • New CPAP user. Unable to pop ears in morning

    Hi Everyone.
New CPAP user here. Recently diagnose after 2 years of sleepyness.
Night assessment showed 56 events per hour so given a resimed device with full face mask. Pressure has initially been set at 10 by my respiratory nurse.
I've managed to adapt well to sleeping with it on. According to the latest score on MyAir app I scored 100 with 7.5 hrs of usage, only took it off once and was down to AHI of 3 (I believe this means 3 events an hour?).

My only issue is, when I wake up I have the feeling you get when you can't pop your ears. Its an uncomfortable feeling and means all sound is muffled and music sounds terrible. This can take anywhere from an hour to all day to clear and is I presume something to do with the pressure.
Has anyone experienced similar? Or does anyone have any advice?

I'm getting on really well with the machine and my wife is thrilled that it has stopped all snoring. I just don't want to start finding excuses not to wear it because of the uncomfortable pressure feeling in the morning.

    Thanks for reading

EDIT, just noticed the newbie introduction section down the bottom. Fell free to move the post if appropriate mods.
