I've got Sleep Apnea been diagnosed for about half a year now i am 30 and of slightly bigger build but I found myself Googling the Life Expectancy of someone with Sleep Apnea treated and couldn't find anything anywhere except one post saying 8-12 years, now I'm quite worried. Is this true? Or can you live a full life with Sleep Apnea if treated?

Good Afternoon,
Thank you for your post.
Life expectancy can be reduced with untreated OSA as untreated OSA can lead to other conditions developing such as cardiac issues, high blood pressure etc. It is these conditions which can lead to a reduced life expectancy, therefore, it is crucial that once sleep apnoea is confirmed, that treatment is started promptly
