Hi,
I am perusing jaw surgery for aesthetics, but my surgeon told me that it is highly likely I have sleep apnea based on how my jaws look. Both jaws are recessed and are small.
As one of the many prerequisites to getting treated, he says I'll need a Polysomnography lab test.
I see that there are also at home tests available, so I'm wondering whether it might be better to get one of those done first as they're significantly cheaper. I understand the lab tests are more accurate, however.
Also, if I do eventually need a lab test, has anyone travelled out of their own country for this to save on costs elsewhere? From what I've read, it seems to be very expensive here in the U.K. at around £2000. I understand that it's possible to go through the NHS, but the waiting times would be huge and it would take forever to get my surgery done.
Thanks!
