    Table tennis

Do table tennis tables still fold up in the middle so you can play solitaire on them?

    Yep.

Technology has also impacted table tennis big style with composite blades and tensioned rubber. You can pay up to £85 for a specialist sheet of rubber to fit just one side of the bat; the most expensive blades are upwards of £180 so its not difficult to pay over £300 for a complete bat!

Not too bad really, I used to play badminton (Kent league) three times a week, and I would need a restring (£15) every couple of weeks, and I had three racquets to look after. I also played table tennis, and had one bat for five years - very economic.

Thanks very much, Martin. It's been over a week now since I had that sort of nightmare (Huzzah CPAP!) and even the reduced occurrence before that made going to sleep a much more inviting prospect.

Gentle spring winds and alpine rivers, here I come!
