  • Day 1 and all's well

Well I started treatment last night with an Apex iCH APAP machine with a Mirage Micro Nasal mask. It took a while to get the mask comfortable but it was a good night. OK, I was conscious of the mask a lot during the night and the noises so quantity of sleep was definitely low but quality seems good. I'm sitting here now and I don't want to sleep!!
Whatever fears and horror stories that are out there didn't seem to come to fruition despite not a full nights sleep but so far so good!!

Sounds like a reasonable start, and things will get better!

Well done! You will get used to the mask, and as you get a better fit (or cycle through masks until you do) the noises will reduce. But that "just slept" feeling is so worth it!

Day 3 - First full nights sleep with only 1 interruption - first full nights sleep in years. If this is normal I've been missing out on a lot!!!
Feeling rested this morning, feeling calm, relaxed and positive. I had no idea that this hidden "ailment" had so much consequences on daily life until today. You read the symptoms but they don't really sink in until experienced. My heart goes out to those who suffer still and especially those that have had worse results than mine.
