Hello. I'm a newby and have had an NHS ResMed S8 for the last 4 months with a Flexifit405 mask. I have found it to be both comfortable and successful except for one thing. I get a painful lining to my nostrils, sneeze a lot during the day and have a permanent (and embarrasing) runny nose, also during the day. I don't often have blocked nostrils - They're almost always open, too open. During the night during CPAP use I don't have these problems and sleep like a baby. though I'm sure the CPAP, in some way, causes my daytime problems. The sleep clinic supplied a humidifier but that didn't help. I intend going to the doctor to get it treated but I'd rather find the cause and stop it that way if I could. I don't have hayfever or any other allergies that I know of. I'd be grateful if any other CPAP user could help me in any way.

As Rhinorrhea is "a symptom of the common cold and of allergies" I'm thinking along the same lines as TF.
There's not much the SinuPulse struggles to sort out in the nose/sinus/throat area. Indeed, if related to allergies, it's known to do a great job. And has CPAP side benefits too.

Thanks guys. I bought some 'over the counter' hayfever tabs which had the warning that they rarely caused drowsiness. I couldn't keep my eyes open and slept for ten hours that night. Better than Mogadon! I'll try a different formulation. I've considered the Sinupulse but, being a pensioner, baulk at the £119 cost, spent on the offchance that it'd help. If anyone else has tried it then I'd be grateful for some feedback.

Did they work (for the nose?)Originally posted by The Mekon View PostThanks guys. I bought some 'over the counter' hayfever tabs which had the warning that they rarely caused drowsiness. I couldn't keep my eyes open and slept for ten hours that night.
I always take my hayfever tabs at night for that reason, always feel a bit slow if I take them in a morning.
