  • Sleeper Train Power - NOT!

Since I'm back browsing the forum a quick warning and question.

On a recent trip to London (I'm in Glasgow) I decided to take the sleeper train rather than get up at 4am for a flight. I duly packed the CPAP and settled into the compartment. Only to find no mains power socket. Cue my only non compliant night in six months and a hellish next day.

From looking at the power consumption figures on my SII Mirage I think that it should be ok to plug it into the razor socket that was in the cabin, but I'm concerned if there was a surge.

    Has anyone tried this?

Razor outlets are notoriously low power and unreliable. Whilst I am not saying that it wouldn't be an adequate power supply, it is one I wouldn't like to have to rely on.

I use a battery power supply (Super CPAP battery pack) if I have to rely on something like that.

To cover just one night, there is also the Mini 12V CPAP Battery.
