Airline pilots admit to regularly napping on the job:

Shift work is mostly to blame, but to what degree could OSA be playing its part? They're not exactly in the same risk-category as lorry drivers are known to be but with an overall 4%-ish of the adult population having OSA, pilots won't be exempt either.

    Snoozing?

Well aren't we glad they have CO-Pilots. Airlines must have figured out the OSA thing. Now--if we could just get CO- Drivers nobody would ever have to worry! Anyone think that is going to happen? LOL x Berneta

Airline pilots undergo an annual health-check as an essential part of their contract, though not specifically for OSA. These tests are paid for by the airlines themselves. Mention to a transport contractor that his fleet should have an annual health-check, and he won't want to know.

Yet Eddie Stobart has died of 'heart problems' at the age of 56. Lessons to be learned somewhere, I think.
