  • Treatment soon

    Hi all,
I recently (2 weeks ago) had a sleep study, which showed I had severe OSA (48 incidences per hour).

for around 6 years (since I was 15) I have had increasingly worse symptoms, only to be told i was exaggerating and being led to believe I was a hyperchondriac.

I'm glad i found this forum as it's always nice to have people to share your experiences with.

    Tim

You've come to the right place, Timmy.

There's a wealth of experience to be found on these pages which will put it all into perspective for you.

Keep in touch with how you are getting on.

      regards

      Richard

        Best of luck

        I scored 51. And I'm a Timmy too!

Tonight is to be my first night on CPAP. I had a familiarisation snooze this afternoon (was knackered after being woken at 2AM and not getting back to sleep) and it was interesting, after my brain stopped fighting the pressure I fell asleep for about an hour and woke up breathing normally and deeply (which is unusual for me!), pressure had dropped from 8 to 5 during that hour.

I've felt great this afternoon, buzzing from acheivement I think as much as refreshment. I'm going to do what they all keep saying and stick with it.

        Good luck to us all!
