I've had a head cold since Thursday. Thursday night I was that blocked up the mask lasted an hour before it came off. Worst night I've had since pre-cpap. Friday I was like a bear with a sore head all day.

So Friday night I remebered something I had read on here sometime back. Obus Oil, get a tissue pad and put a few drops of oil on it. Place this near to the input port of your machine. Not over it! Just near it. The vapour is then drawn in to the air system then the mask. Tell you what, I'm breathing a lot easier with it, almost tempted to sit watching the TV with my mask and oil combo on, its that good.
    Regards and Good Luck, Barry

If you dont like it have a short rest

I am new to this and still wake up not liking the mask much but the daytime benefits are extreme.

My problem was I would take the mask off for a rest from it then fall asleep before putting it back on.

Now I set a 10 min electronic kitchen timer every time I take the mask off which wakes me to remind me to put it back on this works as I get the few minutes of mask rest I still need to belch out air that has gone to my stomach.

I have only been doing this for a week and it woks for me.
