hi guys started wearing full time this is the third week using the machine full time, how ever the past 2 nights iv woke not long after nodding of and found the pressure to be between 15 to 18 witch i find it very difficult to get a breathing pattern going, and found it to be very uncomfortable cant understand why the pressure has changed all of a sudden, its taken me alot of detemination to get this far, previus pressure was about 13+.
still using remstar auto a flex, pressure has not been set yet.
    any thoughts guys/girls

The pressure will rise either because of mask leaks or because the machines detects airway problems it wants to remedy.

If it's leaks, try to get the mask to fit better.

You can also try and get the memory card read out by whoever you got the machine from so you and they can perhaps make some setting tweaks to avoid the very high pressures, if they are not needed.

Most people can tolerate CPAP just fine on average pressures. When the pressures go higher than say 15, it can be more difficult to sleep with. The mask makes more noise, fitting and keeping a seal becomes more problematic. So unless you need those high pressures, if they can be curbed it could make all the difference. That's why the data is so important.
