I haven't been back to my sleep clinic (in Canada) since I started on my CPAP. I am now in London and have asked my GP for a referral to check that all is well. She asked me where I want to go and named some places, none of which I know of course. Someone said that 'Brompton' was the best one. (If so, why?) Any advice? Names of clinics? Where? (I live in East London) Where should I apply?

Clinic Recommendation
If you can get a referral to the Royal Brompton, that's the creme de la creme. Nearest Tube station is South Kensington, but it has such a reputation in anything respiratory that you may find the waiting-list is unacceptably long.
Go to www.sleep-apnoea-trust.org and click on their 'sleep study centres in the UK'. The NHS now have 'Choose & Book', so find (phone numbers and names are all there) a sleep centre either close to where you live or the one with the shortest waiting-list if the Brompton is out of the question.
Hope you have some success.
kind regards
Richard
