  • Scoliosis And Sleep Problem

I use a nippy ventilator as I have scoliosis which means my lungs are not big enough to breathe on their own during sleep.

my nippy is bigger than a CPAP, I go for sleep studies to Papworth, have been doing so for 13 years now.

My partner is the same, except he only has had his nippy for 16 months and goes to the OUtpatients at Brompton.

I look forward to hearing from anyone.

    Hello pigsty,

Thanks for signing up and joining the army of "hoseheads".

Sleep apnoea or not, I guess a ventilator like that presents the user with the same host of challenges to do with the mask, tubing, machine noise etc.

You are lucky to be at Papworth, and Brompton is a good place too!
