  • 111.6 Decibels - Snoring Louder Than A Jet

Did you read this last week?

Mrs Chapman, 60, snores every night at 111.6 decibels - eight decibels louder than the roar of a low-flying jet - much to the dismay of long suffering husband Colin, 62.
    From the Telegraph:

    That's pretty loud!

What would you compare your pre-CPAP snoring to? Train, jet, Harrier taking off vertically, hair dryer, chainsaw, changing to reverse gear when still revved up, an old 56K6 dial up modem, [your pick]

Chainsaw ... haha ... that is a nickname that a number of my mates have called me in the past.
Simes2112 ... 2112 is the title of an album by Rush from 1976, it changed my life ... and now 33 years later CPAP is doing the same.

I know this thread is two years old,but I've only just seen it and it did made me chuckle
My partner says i use to snore like Jumbo jet flying low.He could hear me from downstairs, even my neighbour (glad we are friends ) could hear me from her bedroom.I love to know just how loud i am without my c-pap machine has i never could here myself .I remember to a couple of years before i found i had sleep apnea.I was in hospital and at 2am the nurse wake me up and i had to moved into a room of my own has they said i snored to loud and keeping people awake (this is the reason for my posting about flying with a c-pap has i don't want to keep people awake). That is when i knew i snored but dint realize till then and also friends saying how loud i was.

Now with my c-pap im much quiet now.My partner calls me darl vader, has i sound like darth vader but he call me darl and not darth

I used to be so tired getting in I'd go to bed for an hour or two before dinner, if the kids had friends around they could here me snoring from the opposite end of the house with all the doors closed.
