I have contacted the hospital today and they still dont have a full face mask for me to try. They are waiting for a rep. to call so they can "swap" a nasal one for a full face one.
Any reps on here.

You could call me a rep, with 7 full face cpap masks on offer. But they're not free unfortunately. Sizing gauges are either downloadable from the site or I can send physical ones.

If the problem is the 'Buy' button not working - try hovering around over it until you see your cursor change - click - and you'll see the button is in two parts. Easy to work once you've discovered that little secret!

My mask should be arriving in the next couple of days and rather than "waving it in front of my consultant" I might be tempted to!!!!!.
The worst thing is because of my hospitals inabbility to supply a full face mask my timing with the DVLC is completely cods up which means I will have to surrender my license.

I can understand your frustration with the hospital, but as regards your licence you may only be able to think of your own ituation but try and understand it is for your own and the safety of other road users.
If you have a contact at the DLVA try and keep them informed of your situation I was given the name of my contact and she dealt with my case all the way through, I am sure as soon as you meet the given standard, you will be able to drive again, hope it is not to long for you to wait,

My frustration is because I dont have a problem with excessive sleepiness.
I was initially referred to the hospital as my GP was concerned that there could be blood clots remaining on my chest since my DVT.
The diagnosis of sleep apnea is by far a lessser evil than having a PE.

I have picked up a APAP from the hospital today for a weeks trial using my own mask.

I had a good first night apart from a ITCHY NOSE Grhhhh. I will have to get a scratching stick.

I had the same problem silvercarper, I cured it by washing my face and giving it a brisk rub with a towel before putting the mask on

Damn those nose itches hahahhaha. @ Silver carp. On a more serious note. I hope you have saved the receipts ? for your mask.
You should be able to claim that back because they could not provide you with a mask that meets your needs. Or not at all.
I do hope after all the hassle that you get on well with the machine.
