  • Anybody having problems with air leaking ? I might have the answer !

    Hi All,

After having horrendous problems with air leaking around the edges of my mask I believe I might have the answer, I spoke with a young lady at my designated hospital and she sent me some sticky backed towellling, just attach it all the way round the edge of the mask, it not only stops air leaking but also stops any marks on your face, you can also attach it to the straps to stop any strap marks too, it's brilliant stuff !!!

    You have my attention!

    Hi SteveM

My appetite is well whetted - an under-chin rash from my chin strap is threatening to overwhelm Savlon applications (despite frequent washing of self and strap).

Google reveals nothing useful for 'sticky backed towelling'.

Please ask the young lady at your designated hospital for the trade name and/or manufacturer. Failing that, the NHS code number or whatever it is they use to order stuff from their warehouse/depot.

now I've got visions of going to bed with tenalady's plastered round my mask

I shall be keeping a close eye on this thread as I'm fed up of waking up with red marks and cold eyes from leaks.

Information and feedback on this product (sounds very similar anyway) has been posted on cpaptalk.

            Hey! sleepyblade

Thanks for finding the post. Can you find it again on cpaptalk? With 659 pages to scroll through and no search engine (that I could spot) I gave up after a while.

Can you tell us the page number and post title, please?

              www.britishsnoring.co.uk/cpap_mask_fitting.php

This link discusses the problem and talks about adhesive towelling grip used on tennis rackets handles...presumably available at sports shops.

              Hope this helps

There's a search facility at the top left, unless it doesn't appear until you're logged in. You can always search the site via Google. The product is called Remzzzs. http://www.remzzzs.com/

I think the feedback was pretty mixed (what cpap product isn't?!) from people who'd used them. If you run a search on the site for remzzzs, it comes up with 34 hits.

                  Oops!

                  Hi sleepyblade

Thanks for coming back. The search facility is right where you said it was - I couldn't see it before for looking!

Exchange rate and postal costs put me off so I'll keep looking this side of the water for a while longer.

                  Any progress SteveM?
