I'm a 67 yr old female. I have been using a size medium mask for several years, but usually abandon it after about an hour. I think it seems much too big, widthways and lengthways, but with the guidance on sizing given, I should definitely be using the medium size. (My measurement is 4", but not sure if I've got the bridge of my nose correct). I wonder if a small would be too small. My sleep clinic is busy, and has only recently reopened after covid (though not open to visits). My pump is a Philips Dreamstation. Has anyone any similar experiences? Thank you.

I’ve don’t have much experience with the F20, but to be honest, the best mask is the one you will use throughout the night. So if your masks is the right one on paper, but you can’t use it, a more comfortable size (or a different mask altogether) then that could be the answer.
I know the clinics are very busy at the moment, but my clinic is happy to post things out in the post. Would they be willing to send a smaller mask to try it? Surely they’re worried about your compliance and would want to work with you to find a good fit for your therapy.

You can find a copy of the ResMed Airfit F20 mask sizing guide from the product page on our website. Just click on the following link - https://www.cpap.co.uk/resmed-airfit...406-63407.html - and scroll down the page until you find the downloads tab. Click on the downloads tab and you will find the sizing guide file. Please download it, and check that you have printed it off at 100% to then measure your face.
The mask should sit on your face with the top of the cushion on the bridge of your nose (where if you wore glasses, these would sit), and the bottom of the cushion sitting in the dip in between your lower lip and your chin.
If you have the correct size mask for your face, then we would suggest watching a fitting video for the Airfit F20 mask on youtube so you can check you are putting on and adjusting your mask correctly.

The mask fit insurance allows you to try the mask at home for 28 days. Should the mask be unsuitable for any reason then you can return the mask for a refund of the mask price.
