Resmed F20

[shocked CABG]

Was recently switched to an F20 from an older F&P Simplus. I really like the way it fits without a plastic bridge of my forehead

However I think it is really noisy in comparison. The noise is all coming form the tube/mask and I have no idea what it is. No leaks just whooshing air noise

Is it just me? Or has anyone else experienced this?

I don’t know much about ResMed but some masks are louder than others.

This review said:

having the exhaust vent at the ball joint makes the mask noisy compared to other full face masks

Looks like it might be normal for this mask.

The F20 mask now includes ResMed's QuietAir elbow, which reduces noise but 89% and makes exhaled air leave the mask 70% more gently.

Is it simple the noise of the air pressure travelling through the tube, or is it increased pressure which is why it is noisier?

How many nights have you used the mask? There is always an adjustment period when you change your machine or mask, and it take take a little while to get use to the change.
